Welcome to Alayna AI (alayna.ai), operated by Cues Technologies, Inc ("Alayna"). We provide teachers and school staff with online access to generative artificial intelligence tools through our website, browser extensions, and other services (collectively our "Services"). Our Services are designed to save you time and support student success!

Your use of our Services is subject to these terms and conditions (the "Terms"). By using the Services, you are agreeing to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy.

Please review these Terms carefully before using the Services. We may change these Terms or modify any features of the Services at any time, and your continued use of the Services is your consent to the Terms as is then.

Your Rights to Use the Services

You may visit our website at any time, but to use our other online Services, you must be at least 18 years of age and create an account providing your name, email, and other requested information, such as your selected password.

The Services are exclusively for use by educators and school staff. The Services are not intended for student use.

Your account is for your personal use only, and you may not transfer your account to anyone else or permit others to use your account. You are responsible for any activity or misuse associated with your account that results from your failure to protect your password.

By agreeing to these Terms and creating an account, Alayna grants you a limited non-exclusive right to access and use the Services through your account on a month-to-month basis, to be used only for your own work as a teacher or school staff member. This right continues until either you or we terminate this agreement.

Your Responsibilities When Using AI-Generated Content

Output created by our artificial intelligence tools assists teachers and school staff but does not replace your professional skills and judgment. It is imperative that you review and revise AI-generated content to ensure it is appropriate for use. This includes the following considerations:

  • Use the "80-20" Approach: Treat AI-generated content as a draft (80%) and refine it to complete the work (20%).

  • Check for Bias and Accuracy: Generative AI may produce biased, fictitious, or incorrect content. Always double-check the accuracy before sharing.

  • Understand AI’s Limitations: Our AI engine's knowledge of historical events stops in 2021 unless using the “Web Research” feature.

  • Protect Privacy: Do not include personally identifiable information (PII) of students, parents, or others when using the Services. Doing so may violate applicable laws or policies.

Prohibited Uses of the Services

You may not use the Services to:

  • Violate intellectual property rights, data privacy laws, or other legal rights.

  • Conduct fraudulent, harmful, or harassing activities.

  • Compromise account security or attempt unauthorized access.

  • Overload or harm the Services' infrastructure.

  • Decompile, reverse-engineer, or obtain source code unlawfully.

Violation of these rules may result in termination of your account.

Data Privacy Protection

We take data privacy seriously. For details, please see our Privacy Policy.

We do NOT collect or process PII of students or their guardians. Only adult teachers and school staff provide PII for account creation and login purposes.

Rights Regarding Content You Provide

If you post content in public areas of the Services (e.g., forums or chat areas), you must ensure you own the rights to share it. By posting, you grant Alayna the right to reproduce and use such content to improve the Services.

Payment Authorization and Refund Policy

By providing a payment method, you authorize Alayna to charge fees for your use of the Services, including recurring Subscription fees.

  • Subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically unless canceled.

  • Multi-month Subscriptions renew at the end of the subscription period.

  • No refunds are provided for unused or early-canceled Subscriptions.

Intellectual Property Rights

All rights to product names, trademarks, logos, and designs belong exclusively to Alayna or its licensors. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

Terminating Services

You may terminate your use of the Services by emailing us at hello@alayna.us. We may terminate your access for violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Mandatory Arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of California. Disputes will be resolved through arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive the right to a jury trial or class action.
